Scrappy Note Cards

Hello!  I was going to post these cards on Thursday but I lost track of time this week.  It has been a bit of a crazy week.  I lost my job of 15 years on Tuesday and I have been busy doing paper work and tying up loose ends.   Although I definitely am not happy that I was laid off, I think this might be the kick in the rear that I need to re-examine my goals and give something new a try.   Maybe I’ll even be able to find something in the crafting world. Anyhow, this is another set of notecards that I made for the fundraiser at my daughter’s school.    I wanted to use up some designer paper scraps that I have been saving.  I like this collection too much to throw out the last few pieces that I had left.  I think I will be turning to this design again in the future to use up some scraps.I don’t want to post pictures of each individual card since they are basically the same.  Instead, here is a look at the set of 6 note cards.Happy Friday!   Have a wonderful week end!   Thank you for sto…

Happy Fall

Even though it still seems like summer, I dug out my autumn/harvest type decorations over the weekend.  I love the colors of autumn.  My family thinks I’m a little nuts because having a clean house and putting out my autumn decorations makes me happy.    While I was in the “autumn” mood, I decided to make another autumn themed project using “Blessed Harvest” from Whimsy and Stars Studio.  I wanted to make a coordinating wine bottle tag and a card.   I hope they are not too matchy-matchy.    Here is a closer look at the wine bottle tag.  And here is a look at the coordinating card.I hope you have a wonderful day!  Thank you for stopping by!While you are here, don’t forget to check out my blog candy.Supplies:Card-Stamps:  Blessed Harvest (digital stamp) by Whimsy and Stars Studio,  Limitless Labels by Papertrey Ink Inks: Close To My Heart chocolate Ink Papers:  Neenah Crest solar white CS, Papertrey kraft & dark chocolate CS, My Mind’s Eye Stella & Rose Mabel paper pad Tools:  S…

Leaf Note Cards

Hello!  I just have a quick project share with you today.  I have been trying to make some notecards to donate to my daughter’s school for their annual fund raiser.   This is the first of 3 sets that I have completed.  Here is a look at one of the cards in the set.  I didn’t include photos of each card because they are all pretty similar. Here is a look at the entire set.   The photo is a little warm.  The coloring in the photo above is more accurate.  Each is lined with Papertrey Rustic Cream cardstock.  So what do you think?  Do you think asking for a minimum bid of $5 for 6 notecards and envelopes is too high?  I’m not sure what to put on them.  Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!Don’t forget to check out my blog candy.  You still have time to enter.Supplies:Stamps:  Papertrey Tiny Tags Inks: Close To My Heart Chocolate, Distress Ink Tea Dye Papers:  Papertrey kraft & rustic cream CS, BoBunny Forever Fall DP pad Tools:  Big Shot, Sweet ‘n Sassy Season of Change Leaf Di…

It’s Fall

The weather over the weekend was cooler and really put me in the mood for autumn.   On Sunday, I baked some Oatmeal Pumpkin Chocolate Chip mini-muffins.  Not only did they taste really yummy but they left my house smelling wonderful.   I also had to break out my recipe for Autumn Pork Chops.  Yum, yum, yum!  I just love this time of year.  I’m not just going to tempt you with my favorite autumn recipes, I also have a card to share with you.  This is a new image from Whimsy & Stars Studio and it perfect for the season.  I LOVE this image.  I also broke out some new autumn-themed papers.Although it is a bit hard to tell in the photo, the center part of both pumpkins is layered and popped up to add some dimension.Have a fabulous week!  Thank you for stopping by!P.S.  Don’t forget to check out my blog candy.  Click on the photo below to be taken to the details.Supplies:Stamps:  It’s Fall (digital stamp) from Whimsy & Stars Studio Inks:  Distress Ink Tea Dye Papers:  Papertrey kraf…

School Daze

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  We really enjoyed having an extra day off this week for Labor Day.  Today is my daughter’s first day of school.  I can’t believe she is in 5th grade!  It seems like yesterday when I was sending her off to Kindergarten.   In the spirit of sending her off to her first day of middle school, I made this card for her using Bitty Love from Paper and Such.Once again I was trying to do a bit more of a CAS card than my usual style.  I had to go back and layer the apples to give it a bit of dimension because I just couldn’t leave it as it.   I have to admit I originally envisioned a single layer card but that was just too much outside my comfort zone.  I love when other people make single layer cards but I just can’t do it myself.   Julie made a big announcement on the Paper and Such blog last night.   She has made the difficult decision to close the store.  Of course she is going to have a big sale!  Right now, you can get 30% off everything …
